BELVEDERE RESIDENCE
The Brief
CONSIDERATIONS:
My Belvedere clients had already gutted the downstairs level of their home following a flood when I first met them. Drywall, flooring etc. had been removed from the site and fans were circulating air to remove damp and to prevent mold. We designed the new bathroom to occupy the same footprint but significantly reduced the size and quantity of the ceiling soffits and eliminated the second door into the room. This created higher ceilings and a greater sense of space; as well as more wall area, along which cabinetry could be built. Materials were carefully chosen to keep the project within a modest budget and a large amount of custom cherry cabinetry maximized the room's storage potential. Beautiful tile work, interesting tub surround tile design and a harmonious combination of materials resulted in a serene, light and beautiful space. |

THE CAD DRAWINGS (please click to enlarge)
Here is a selection from my CAD drawings for this project. They were used to convey details from me as the designer to my client, but also to the contractor, the electrician, the plumber and the tile-setter. They show the important technical side of the remodel and are a vital step in any remodel project.
